The end of 2025 held a special surprise for me and my colleagues at the Faculty of biology and medicine (FBM) at Unil: our podcast, "La FBM dans les oreilles", was published via the channels of Savoirs+ by the team over at France Culture !

After several weeks of juridical finetuning of the partnership contract, we so became the first international partners of the platform that was launched in the fall of 2024. Their collection of scientific podcasts for wide audiences are available via the website as well as the Radio France app.

Created on the occasion of our faculty's 20-year anniversary, our podcast highlights research in biology and medicine in Lausanne. It was born as a wild shared dream between me and my colleague Nathalie Isorce and came to life with considerable support from our teammates at the University of Lausanne. What started as a special series of eight episodes that aired during the anniversary year has since grown into a permanent project, with a new series currently in the making - to be launched in 2026.

Out of the eight original episodes, three have been taken up by Savoirs+. They tell three stories of biology research - from cabbage to rattlesnakes, fish, and all kinds of tiny beings surrounding us in soil, air, and water.

Episodes available on Savoirs+
