WELCOME

I am Klara, science journalist and research communicator. Formerly a researcher myself, I write and talk about diverse science topics - in English, French, and German. Take a look around. These pages are here to spark your curiosity. And to share some of my work with you.

Wondering what this is all about ?

This website has been created to spike your curiosity and showcase some of the work I've been doing because I'm very curious myself.

Science is full of wonders. I hope you will have as much fun discovering them as I have bringing them to you.

What I do

Besides my main activity as a research communicator at the University of Lausanne, I am a freelance science journalist. I also moderate events, teach workshops and university classes on science communication and am happy to collaborate on any project involving public education and engagement.

Articles

As an independent journalist, I write scientific news articles for different national and international magazines and newspapers. In my portfolio, you will find examples of my work.

Podcasts & Radio

During my science journalism training, I discovered my passion for audio journalism. As part of my work at the University of Lausanne, I am co-producing a podcast series that highlights research at the Faculty of Biology and Medicine.

EVENT MODERATION

I regularly moderate events presenting research and science to a large public. From animating round tables, leading Q/A sessions and guiding public debates, all the way to the overall event conception, I am excited about opportunities to exchange with diverse audiences.

TEACHING & TRAINING

Having transitioned from researcher to journalist/communicator, I have acquired a mixed skillset that allows me to teach different audiences about the principles of science communication. I give workshops to both scientists and non-scientists, and am teaching Master and PhD students at the University of Lausanne.
